Banksia serrata

This was purchased in late 2016 and was about 2cm thick at the base.

It has the most lovely twisted growth. I cut the roots back heavily upon purchase and I have only cut back a few times.
I've basically just been letting it do its thing. I allow the roots to grow into the ground then cut them back about every 6 months.

Love the trunks on these banksias. I have an old one in the garden that I'm attempting to airlayer at the moment. :fc: If the top doesn't make it I'll try to dig out the stump, as it's starting to lift some paving bricks close to it.
Cheers, Frank.
