Fertiliser dosing pumps / injection systems.

Hi All, Does anyone have any experience with Fertiliser dosing pumps / fertiliser injection systems? Can anyone recommend a make / model that would suit bonsai watering?
The Dosatron seems to be industry standard but is very expensive. has anyone got any experience using the cheaper versions fund on ebay and the like?
