Post by Jamie »

i have bit the bullet today and bought a tiny little bottle of superthrive which mid yo cos a fortune for what it was  i am hoping it wasnt a waste of money!
i would like to have a chat about the pro's that this product has, results people have seen and whether or not my money was well spent.
seen as i have only just got it and never used it i can say much apart from the fact the packaging looks like it is from the 1950's way of advertising
i am hoping it does do what it says it does.

so let me know your thoughts on it all :D

Howzit Jamie,

I've been using ST for a very long time. IMHO it's about the best product to use after re-potting for plant shock. I just soak the whole thing after re-potting for about five minutes. I also hit my bonsai's with ST a week after I fertilize. It has vitamins and hormones that the plants needs that fertilizers don't have. All you need is about 10-30 drops or a half a cap per gallon "What's It!!" One bottle will go a long way. Give it a try mate, you won't go wrong!! ;)

Jamie there is a lot of conjecture on this product. I will not debate the issue, with anyone any more. As I have never seen it resolved, but a lot of aggro has developed.

What I will say I have used it in the past and when I can get some more will use it again. I have been using one that was distributed by a guy here who has now moved on.
He had the original analysed. Got one made up and it worked as well. I have been using rooting gel diluted that has worked for me also as well as Seasol.

Cheers ;) Pup

cheers pup :D

i aint after arguements on the subject, i am asking for peoples experiences with it. i guess by your answer that with you dont have it at the moment if a source of it came along you would get it again, i do find that using rooting hormone gel in a dilution is interesting ? i guess it does the same thing? having similar ingredients etc? i havent done the research on it, maybe i am to lazy to, i would prefer to hear first hand experiences on it and results with it though :D

Well I have been using ST for only 4 months mostly on my squamata junipers. One of my junipers got very yellow scales on the young branches and I thought that it was dying. I use ST + seasol combination for the last 4 months and the problem is sovled and the squamata also shoots up realy well. Not sure which one works - ST or Seasol. I don't really care much. Now I always dillute ST and Seasol and use them together.
Cheers,
DK

Yes Jamie :D I can"t say it doesn't work ,used heavily on my maple that you have seen that got trunk chopped (same as our celtis dig ....no root) and I believe that is what helps it to survive here ,but then I don't know the ingredients not specific on the packaging.

this is the sort of info i am looking for :D same as tony with the maple, i have one i am trying to get to shoot that hasnt after a chop! but it definately sounds that it is working for both, whether it is the seasol, or the ST or a combo, there is two positive results!
hopefully i will be able to see some results from this in then next few months :D

Crab, you got ripped off mate. I bought 120 ml bottle from the the local hydroponics for $25. Thinking that his is still dear, I bought 2 other 120ml bottles for $15 each plus $5 postage.
Edit: the second purchase was from eBay
