Re: [Tutorial] How to Develop Dynamic Figs Quickly
Thanks Dario!
There are already roots coming through the drainage holes on the cutting I repotted 7 days ago! These guys are ridiculous!
I guess letting the roots grow helps thicken the flaps, which then helps give the big, powerful base look?

Really impressive work & certainly I'll be giving this a try soon. For anyone interested, I crunched the various instructions into a single pdf.

Nothing in particular, I guess it's just the setup it's in that gives it bright light, high temps, and lots of humidity.MasonC wrote:FicusGuy, 7 days and roots coming out?! Amazing man! What are you doing?? These all look so great, can't wait to have a go soon!

Re: [Tutorial] How to Develop Dynamic Figs Quickly
OK All,
I have a question. When I tried the flaring trunk method I found that after allowing time for rooting (with hormone applied equally everywhere) when I dug it out again I noticed that the roots only grew from one side of each flared section. On each of the four sections I had cut, the roots are growing from the same edge with no roots on the other side. Strange? Anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
Comments?
Cheers,
Andrew

It's pretty helpful
Two months have passed since I repotted the cuttings. Anyone know what the general window is before I pull them up and look at them again?
