Brachychiton IT'S Time to Chop

Hi Guys
It's time to work on your Brachychiton's.
Lift it out of the pot and remove soil. (its ok to bare root , wash soil of with low pressure hose) Cut back roots thicker than a pencil to encourage finer roots (dry and dust with rooting hormone)
Roots thicker than your thumb cut and seal with A.T.C.S Tree Wound Dressing, 2 coats allow to dry overnight. Healthy trees can stay bare rooted for a couple of days if kept cool.
Use deeper than standard bonsai pots and allow for 50 to 100mm of soil below roots . Lots of water through summer growing period .
