Hi there,

I have had this gum for a few years app 500mm high.

I cannot remember the leaves being like this... any thoughts?

I am going to pot up this year and looking for some pot ideas also

Could be stress. You don't have a location in your profile but cold can do this to corymbia leaves.
When was the last repot? When plants get really root bound it can be difficult for the roots to get nutrients and they begin to starve.
Have you fertilised? Lack of nutrient could also cause leaf discoloration.

Eucs love fertiliser in my experience. You don't need to worry about using special native fertiliser; eucalypts don't develop proteoid roots so aren't sensitive when it comes to phosphorus. I use a liquid organic fertiliser (Charlie Carp) and the trees seem happy with it.

Totally agree with Greg. Euc will take any fert you want to give them. I use Thrive, Powerfeed and chook poo pellets on mine.

Most natives are happy with fert. Just need to be a bit careful with the proteacea family - banksia and grevillea but even they will die if they don't get any nutrients so still need to be fed. Just start gently with low P 'native' fert on those ones if you have them.
