For you Fig fanciers[/b] this is the untold tale of my very own fig. Back in 1993 I stopped working for David Jones Advertising and had to find information on Computers ( in order to maybe find new work )this involved walking to North Sydney along the harbour edge where lots of Ficus grow. One day on my homeward track I spotted an unusual leaf It belonged to a small-ish fig which I rescued and have been growing ever since.
The leaves are 3-5cm long smooth surface and lacking hairs on the underside. They reduce with bonsai culture. The plant has a strong tendency to upright growth and needs a lot of training to keep good bonsai shape -sadly I do not have a well cared for one to photograph but I will post a couple to illustrate. I have given away quite a few examples over the years and maybe someone would like to post one

Re: Ric Roberts Curly leaf Port Jackson (F rubiginosa )
Small leaf benji do have a natural curl and possibly is a normal thing for figs to do when the go on this varient of leaves got to see this in real life today is definitely not bug or disease related don't know if the thrip was a tongue in cheek barb or Grant just being a ... As per photos I think it needs some branch bending and direction but a great little fig appreciate the post
