It is a Melaleuca rhaphiophylla (swamp paperbark)

You could be right Graeme, as I know it is not Melaleuca ericifolia the official paperbark, so I might be wrong with this one too.
Just got the young fella on his way, dropped him off early, he was hoping for a window seat he was stiff he has an isle seat. He will be in the air now and looking forward to getting home.

This tree now resides on the east coast, I was asked if it was still for sale last week. The guy that wanted it when it was available here. Thought he might make an offer.
He was upset when I laughed at his offer of $650-00.
