Too late to Aerial Layer

G'day all,
Looking to Layer some Elms, Wisteria & Lilly Lilly is it too late in the year in Adelaide; if so could they stay layered over winter.

Spring and summer are the most usual times for layering. You generally won't get much progress as the weather cools but hopefully the layers will stay alive and be ready to grow roots as soon as the weather starts to warm up in spring.
The lilly pilly might still be active enough over winter to grow some roots.

I started a couple of Lilly pilly layers on the 25th Feb and these have roots so was thinking of separating them soon. Maybe at Easter
