I’m also SEQ based and don’t think there would be any areas around here with wild olives. Definitely be interested if there was tho!

Re: Wild Olives
Highly doubt there would be wild figs in se qld. It’s not really the right climate. They usually grow around old olive orchards which are developed in drier areas with poorer soils.

Re: Wild Olives
What about African Olive? African olive is listed as a weed in both NSW and Queensland. Maybe make some enquiries with Landcare groups in and around your area. They usually know what weeds are around and where to find them.
I just searched Queensland Olives and there's a Queensland Olive Council and quite a few growers listed so olives must grow up there. In my experience, where there are farmed olives there will also be ferals.
There are historic olive trees on St Helena island in Moreton bay but that's now a national park so probably not a good place to turn up with pick and shovel.
There's a few olive groves listed for Stanthorpe. That higher, granite country is just the sort of place feral olives love.
