Greyed out topics?

I've just rejoined as I couldnt remember my name or password from a few years ago.

I'm seeing some threads where all the features are clear and available but some, when opened up for reading are greyed over and I'm unable to comment or even move from page to page. These pages usually have a white area at the bottom saying Show this page using Tapatalk or Chrome. I'm using a Samsung tablet so the Chrome option isn't operational and I would prefer not to use Tapatalk.
Is this because I'm a new user, or have I made a mess of joining up?

Your seeing the tapntalk options when the page is greyed out and at the bottom of the page will be the options to use browser or tapntalk. Just choose either one and your settings should be remembered eventually
