Collected tiny leaf Boug

Here is my dig of the week. I've seen a few of these arround but never saw one with good stump size. When I saw this at a relative's house I mentioned about its potential for bonsai. After a few beers he said: "you could have it"
I am not quite sure how vigorous this one is at taking roots but feel that I have over-exposed the existing roots. Any suggestion?

i wouldnt be concerned about that, being boug you should be good, keep it in the shade and just keep moist. use Superthrive or similar and seasol aswell.
being a boug i think it will take just fine.

It will fade with time. If you want to remove ster-prune from dead wood quickly, just carve it out. You could clean it off with methylated spirit but this may have the tree?

i have a couple of these, they root easily with good after care. I stuck a cut of branch into a pot and it grew roots from nothing. Got me a nice mame with great taper
