I had the pleasure of seeing this tree in 3D real life today. As others have said before photo's while they look great don't do it justice. Its really an awesome tree to see up close. Quite inspiring. Thanks for the tour Craig!

Cheers!

neal.

Cheers M , what pot was it in when you saw it? most likely had more soil around the base/root area.

Thanks Adrian, i don't know about the knowledge part but :lost: .

Honestly this Tree is true "testimony" to the information given in Deborah Koreshoff's book, Bonsai-it's art, science, history and philosophy. The information given in the chapter on "broom style" and figure 160 on page 187, that and a vision.. i cut this tree in my first or second year of bonsai after reading this book .It's my bonsai bible.
It progresses now from what i have learnt about growing bonsai in 9 years and some very helpful pointers aswell as critisim from both experienced people and inexperienced people here on Ausbonsai. :flag:

Thanks

Nice pictures Craig, I quite like the carving and interesting shape you've achieved on the trunk.

Well done.

missed this one, Thanks Reddragon, much appreciated mate,

A little update while i'm here, That damn graft on the front right :( , no luck, grafting and me don't mix that well, anyway i have carved a nice peice of deadwood to fit the gap and will attempt to grow a seedling up along side of it,. The canopy has evened out on both sides now and looks amazing, Loving this tree, ,
