Gidday all, i visited Canberra last week and popped into the National Exhibit. WOW,WOW. it was a pleasure to meet the gentlemen working on the day and I can highly recommend a visit to any Bonsai enthusiast. The collection as you can imagine is kept in the most pristine order. I even saw a pair of twezzers remove a 1/4 cm tall weed. The group planting of taxodium was my absolute favourite. Grant told me the variety of taxodium was not the usual variety my apologies I can not remember the exact variety except mexico rings a bell.

I also collected a few acorns from the Canberra district and I have attached a photo of some platted canberra acorns I seeded in 2006.
Also a couple of pictures of some platted maples in the early stages and a couple of nice stock trees.
