Air Layer Of Callitris Glaucophylla Any Ideas ??

Post by boom64 »

Hi All,
Just finished re-potting my callitris, I collected last December. The one's I collect usualy have about 40mm of soil above the roots. It makes it harder to get a nice taper but have found once the trunks are exposed the bark usualy thickens up (2 years) however the one in the pic is way to thin so I am going to attempt an air layer.
I was hoping someone might have some hints or clues to help me please. :?:

Also have included 2 photo's of the re-potting process. 1 Showing the taproot I cut it back by half again after the pic was taken.
The 2nd photo shows the thinner area above the roots.

The last pic shows some juvenile growth that was a result of cutting back a rather sparse plant very hard

Many Thanks John :tu2:
