OK guys while it is great to see so much interest in the shohin comp we need to remember to be POLITE to each other and to RESPECT each others opinion. This is Ian's thread and while I am sure he welcomes constructive criticsim and advice some of the previous comments are neither.

Hi Guys and gals , in keeping with the spirit of Ausbonsai and the rules of this Competition as of today i am Disqualifying myself for m the competition . Please i have taken this decision in the best interest of other members who have entries in the comp . Please refrain from critique and commenting on entries as it is the individuals work , style and presentation which is what these comps will be run in the future . I will continue this as a topic only . No replies needed or required . Good luck to all who remain in this Competition

Nothing done on this tree except for the dog removing it from the slab

Well its a day to remember and one to forget . This Tree has been "withdrawn" it has been sold to a keen young fella wanting a challenge and no doubt he will have more time than i seem to have to continue to refine this Elm . I hope we all get to see it in the years to come . Good luck and best wishes to the new owner .
