Post by Hijacked101 »

Hey guys would really appreciate an I.d on this pine tree. I have manages to germinate many seeds from cones. The pine needles are arranged in clusters of mostly 2's with a few 3's. thankyou

I'd guesss radiata too. The features you have described fit radiata and it is common, but not enough info to give a definitive ID. There are hundreds of pine species and many have very slight differences. Does it really matter what species it is?

Think you guys have nailed it . Being that most of the needle clusters are arranged in 2s I think it is pinus radiata var binata

Thanks a lot for your help
