What a great looking tree - I just have to have a go at one of these. There are heaps of them in the bush around me and I just walk past them.

Nice, it is shaping up to be a beautiful tree.
The first branch (on left) has a particularly nice shape. My personal opinion is that the top needs to be slightly sharper.

As you said Steven a very nice tree.
I have to say that I ( here we go again ) disagree with the need for a sharper head or if you prefer crown. A pointed head or crown depict an immature tree very few tree's in maturity show pointed crowns. Of all the Casuarina I have seen in the forests around here and down south they all have round heads. Just an observation. JMO Pup

amg meeting last night so not many on display at this club but all that is gonna change next year!

Lovely tree. I have one with the promise to equal yours but a couple years growth needed. It is nice to see such a good role model and give me a greater idea where my tree is heading. Very pleasing native with the filmy foliage and the wonderfully textured trunk.

I was just given two young ones today, one has heaps of potential and an interesting curvature, the lesser one will develop nicely in time. I potted both up and restyled [or styled, as the case may be] and the best one is in a little Mirkwood shohin pot and already is showing signs of potential. I'm talking early days but the owner passed them on feeling they were hopeless junk. I was happy to have my hand out.... I'll pass on a bottle of wine as a thank you but he's not getting them back.
