It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Hi all,

The pine was donated to the NBPCA in 2007 after long time Bonsai artist and teacher Alison Copperfield suffered a serious stroke that thankfully affected her memory but not too bad physically. She was always going to donate some trees to the collection; which she did; but this tree was donated for the purposes of training, teaching, selling or raffling etc.

She had good records and this Pine was one of the 1974 Koreshoff pines. It was however in poor health and so we have spent the last 6 years recovering its health and preparing it for an eventual overhaul.

Hi all,

This Black pine will be offered to Yusuke Uchida to work on from next Monday 10am at the NBPCA.

Yusuke is visiting from Japan and has done some work in Melbourne as seen in other threads.

If you are going to be in Canberra or would like to visit specially then come on down.

PM me if you are intending coming down.

We will take lots of photos and notes.

I was hoping that's what was going to happen with this tree. I'm very excited to see what the result will be.
