It keeps getting better and better John - a credit to you. Do you have any special techniques - e.g. how long you let shoots get before you trim them? Ash

I just love these tree's. This one is awesome and I've seen it in the bark before - spectacular!
They are IMO one of (if not the most) Iconic Aussie natural Bonsai specimens.. .

My last one carked it for no good reason after a repot.....
I've another in fattening phase..

Did you have any tips for us re. re-potting John?
Any general advise re. this species would be much appreciated.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hi Boics once tea trees have been in training for 1 to 2 seasons you can almost do any thing to them,so long as you pump the water into them
Cheers john (will post the other one later when I have finished working on it)

Hi John,

By coincidence we gave the Lepto on loan to the collection a trim today; as well as repotted a Banksia serrata.

I saw (and admired) this tree at the NBPCA when it was much more lush - it looks even better pruned back! Do you intend to keep it more open? Great tree.
