Re: seed supplier??
What type of tree's are you after?
You can google " Australian seed merchants" Adding in exotic and native to help narrow your search.

Re: seed supplier??
I have found user deminimus on Ebay to be one of the best. He is the one that all the rest have followed.
I also buy seeds from Misho Bonsai Seeds over in Amereica. You will find many seeds can be mailed over with no problems at all and the price is no big issue.
The owner of this site often chats on the international Forums. Great chap to deal with.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: seed supplier??
I have actually tried buying seeds from Misho bonsai,
The owner of the site informed me that the seeds go through the 'soak diluted chlorine treatment' and that seeds have gone through before (very helpful and friendly)
So I decided to be a bit radical (and madman like) and tried getting some Japanese Black Pine 'Mikawa' seeds.
We got a letter full of quarantine brochures =o="

Re: seed supplier??
I tried emailing the user deminimus on eBay to ask about postage and possibility of quarantine to Tasmania. Haven't heard back yet...
I'm keen to plant a few from seed, as I want to try various propagation methods to see what works for me.
Any Tasmanians ordered seeds from deminimus (or anyone else) on eBay and can report on success rate of them arriving?

Re: seed supplier??
Hi all,
I have ordered seed from various sources on eBay without dramas, one from memory was called Wildseed Tasmania, they have a standard site too @ http://www.wildseedtasmania.com.au BUT
One site that does look pretty good for this sort of thing is http://www.seedworld.com.au/native_and_ ... seeds.html
I have not bought any from here yet but they have a massive range to choose from, seems pretty legit!
Have fun!!

Re: seed supplier??
Thanks for that! I think I heard that Tasmania has fairly strict rules about bringing in plants/seeds, so thought I should check, as lots of sellers seem to take the "caveat emptor" approach
