Leptospermum....?

Post by Ryceman3 »

I picked up this little guy at the BSV sale last weekend. I was told by the seller (who I believe!) that it is a Leptospermum of some kind.
The leaf size is between 2-4mm (real small) and kind of elliptical to oval in shape ... stems of new growth are red in colour and it appears to back bud very easily looking at the new growth coming from low down trunk itself.
Anybody have any idea of which Lepto specifically it might be? I'm keen to know more for curiosity than anything, I reckon the foliage shows great proportions for a Shohin.

Cheers!

:bump:
It's been a while, but I repotted this guy a few weeks (possibly months  ) back and looks to be coming through well since despite being early for natives - even showing signs of a few tiny pinkish buds ... Might help with an ID maybe?? My research leads me to believe its a Leptospermum Liversidgeii - maybe, happy to stand corrected if somebody has a different idea. Would love to know for sure what it is ...
