It appears to have been a long wait for him to come in and answer the questions hahahaha although it doesn't surprise me as he would be too busy playing with his trees rather than philophising over them.

I can't believe I did not see the 360 till now !!  Great technology/photo .
The eucalypt timber has been treated with lime sulphur .
The Shimpaku used were 4 air-layers so had many fine feeder roots ,easy to pack in tight around the wood and were secured by tech screws into the wood. The work was done in quick time by me as a demonstration at a Bonsai Society of Australia meeting in 2000 .
