Root Cuttings?
Root Cuttings?
Hey everyone,
I repotted a few maples today and got a HEAP of root cuttings. I put them all in a pot and would just like some advice on the 'special needs' of these.
Thanx
Mason

Re: Root Cuttings?
We were blighted by the dreaded dutch elm disease and just about every native elm has been eradicated in nature. I took root cuttings of my infected mature tree and have propagated them as bonsai successfully. The disease can be controlled easily on small stuff. Maples are a different case but should reward you with plenty of material. You have the whole growing season ahead of you as opposed to us. We are going into autumnal leaf shedding right now.
My name is Don. I'm a UK nutter and bonsaiholic but I'm on medication (when I can find the tablets)
ad sum ard labor.
