Took 2 cuttings. I was think of training the bougie into a cascade, good idea? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know what happened to the rest of my comment, but the 2nd cutting always looked like it had taken, leaves etc. But when I went to repot, no roots. So I changed the potting mix.

I have had cuttings take over 12 months to put out shoots. Just leave them be and check for green by scratching with your fingernail every so often.

Re: Progression of a bougie.
I love bougies, but they don't really enjoy the climate here. Doesn't mean I won't try it once I've gain more experience in keeping plants alive and have a walk in greenhouse.
Looking forward to seeing the progress on this..... and the cuttings.

Re: Progression of a bougie.
Here is my semi-cascade bougainvillea.
I like to let it get very 'full' coming in to flowering because a big canopy means lots of those wonderful flowers.
After flowering I do cut it back hard.
