Contestant No. 3:

Species Name: Juniperus chinensis 'Shimpaku'

Current height: 500mm

Cost: $16 (You would think that I interpreted the $50 stock price was for the cost of all 3 trees  )

Gunna thin it down to one trunk and bend the crap out of it.

Then add a branch or two :lost: and uh, voila.

Looks like this one has a great little root spread Jarad. I really like the slanted direction that it is currently flowing in. Is that the ultimate plan? Great little pick up for 16 clams if you ask me!

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Thanks Pearcy, that was the first thing that caught my eye, that nice thick base.

You can't actually see a lot of the bends in the tree at the moment, I will be thinning it out and wiring more branches next time I get a chance to sit down with it. Slanting with crazy bends is the ultimate goal.

Hey Pearcy,

Not really, I moved to the UK back in June and haven't been able to work on my trees. I'll be back in Oz in March, so I can give an update then. Cheers for touching base though!
