I'm a bit excited by these and as the heading suggested they're shohin sized.
Cheers, Pat

Thanks Redsonic. This is a new technique for me... a bit of fun but maybe a bit busy for light-weight shohin.
And thanks to you too, Rory, mister ever dependable. You keep me sane
Cheers, Pat

Wow Pat,
I am glad to see you are learning new Tricks.
I know it sounds a bit like a fetish but i love what you have come up with, especially the feet.
For those who are interested, Pat saw some of my sculptural vase/pot and adapted the technique to make these bonsai pots. Ben

Oh, I'm glad tgward asked about the feet, because now you've shown us the base, I'm even more impressed Pat!

Seriously feral Pat, well done. The challenge is to make a shohin with enough character and energy to live comfortably with the pot. I'll get back to you in twenty years or so...
Damn fine.

Re: New shohin pots....with a great BIG nod to Ben Ho
Thanks Mel, when I first put them up I wondered whether I should include the feet.
And thanks to my dueling oppo, Gavin, who keeps me on my toes
And Ben. As you can see I took the cowards route, sacrificing art for a functional outcome. Don't let his kind words fool you, in a private message he all but suggested I was a philistine
Thanks again, Ben

thanks pat--looks interesting---my shelves are pine offcuts and have had a couple of casualties because of blocked drainage (and inattention)
