Pat, could I have one of those you reject? Regardless of size and finish, I promise I'd have a tree for it.

Hi Lisa,
Finally I get to complete the trade!
Your Horst Heinzlreiter pot (which I’ve already got), for one of these latest pots.
I’ll meet you in the Arboretum car park next weekend....Deal?
Or we could be civilised and I could come to yours for a cuppa and a handshake?
Pat

I opt for the civilised handshake, like we had last time you were here.
....if Domino's hasn't run out of flour.
What day would suit you?

O gosh, that's all up in the air now, of course. I wonder what is going to happen. Will Bonsai week have to be cancelled, as the demonstrators would have to go into quarantine on arrival and the meeting of many people poses a risk of C virus contamination? Poor Leigh, Sam and all those who were looking forward to Bonsai week, the demonstrators not least.
I'd forgotten about the Horst Heinzlreiter pot and you owe me nothing, but if you are in Canberra at some stage, of course I'd love a visit. Perhaps no handshake though?

Looks like it is going to be still on,when one of the main mudslinghers is going to be there the weekend before it officially is going to start, as us mere mortals won't be admitted before Monday the 23rd
Probably there for setting up,

As Bonsai Week has been cancelled I am assuming that the pot part will also be cancelled. Probably have to stash those pots until next year>?

The competition is going ahead. Please continue sending or delivering your pots.
Rather than an exhibition, we will be showcasing all entries on this forum and social media. The pots will still be judged in person.
Cheers
Leigh

Any updates on the competition?
I am keen to see what our Aussie potters have come up with.
I thought I still had a week to get my pots in but found out today and I have already missed cutoff date.

You and me both, Ben!
The latest update that I have heard is that the pots will be judged this week.

I heard a little whisper overnight and the story is that the pottery show is very much alive and well but the powers that be are not well and it may be another week or two before the promotion of all the entered pots and the judging can happen.
The whisper came from a reliable source so I’ll rein in my impatience and wish all a speedy recovery and the very best of health.

Its definitely a time for patience.
We tree fiddlers should know the concept well.

I'd have to say that the Marie Hewartson pot suits the tree best. Yes, Marg's blue is amazing, but would take too much attention off the tree, imho.
