Did some exploring along the banks of a local river today, looking at the many groves of awesome gnarly old Melaleuca Cuticularis. Just behind a grove of Melaleuca were two what look like very old Swamp Banksia judging by the sheer girth of the trunks. One was dead but the other alive and kicking.
This thing is an absolute beast in person, and the bark they get in their old age is something else. Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as i did.
