Grant has just posted pictures of one of his banksias with new shoots.
Mine are also growing now. To keep this smaller banksia in shape I trimmed the longer new shoots - second trim this season.

The pot is actually an old one by Geoff Vanner, Melbourne, (now deceased). It came with a lot from someone getting rid of a family member's excess stuff.
Looks like it had round ball feet at one stage but they've been removed or fallen off before I got it.
