Old red pine bark , shari

This is quite a old red pine estimated at close to 50 years . I have had it for about 20 years . It does need a change of angle , a different pot but the tree is twisted and branching is excellent. Isnt it one of life's things that while we age, generally get weaker and things droop etc some of our trees seem to do the exact opposite.....

I love the philosophical / physical angle that you called out, I have wondered too how trees that are just a stick and on the verge of existence or death when treated appropriately transform into such masterpieces irrespective of how many time we pinch them, hash them, chop them twist them....we as humans just cannot do that.. on that note though, how do you get such a thickly branched top for that tree? I am relatively new to pines and still finding my way through the myriads of decandling and feeding regime...

that is exactly what is needed. Hard to see the branching in the photos but the bark extends all the way and some very nice movement going on
