Finger rest on shears????

Share your success stories about defoliation, bare rooting and anything else relating to maintaining healthy bonsai.

The angle on the edge is important, with scissors the blades should actually be curved inwards towards each other slightly, so that they are slightly under tension and always closely in contact throughout the cutting stroke. (Yes I have done some reading on bladesmithing!)
I will pass on the haircut, Antonio, I have been growing it for 7 years now, looking forward to using it as seat padding one day, so all I would let you do is tidy the ends, lol. You can come and trim my bonsai anytime tho! (BYO tools, mine are definitely substandard, and get a very hard life.)
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..

I have loyalty to my hairdresser. It is my wife and she demands loyalty!!! I am a basic run the shears over the head kind of guy. Gets the grey out and is very cool in summer. Sorry Ant, i am not a financial contributor to the Hairdresser community. Please dont hold it against me :D
