Nice result . This pot suits it really well , that’s a beautiful glaze .
I wouldn’t be surprised if the tree forms a natural shari underneath where you jinned it , they tend to do that .

The pot has a lovely crackle glaze, I'm hoping it isn't too small. Guess I'll just have to repot more often if it wants to start pushing up and out.

I just watched this video, and noticed that the fellow put some putty around the jin, and am wondering if that might stop the trunk failing?

Hey Mel, the cut paste may work however a little bit of "natural looking" shari may look pretty good running down into that straight section of trunk?
Are you concerned with weakening the tree if doing too many jins?

Hey KCAR, yes, that's true, it could help to lessen the impact of that straight trunk. I hadn't thought of that, ta. I'm not worried about weakening the tree, it seems to be able to keep powering on even after the severe root pruning and jin production. I just hope I haven't put the kibosh on it for saying that though.
