I am just relaying what Stephen Ryan told me he is a pretty highly regarded plantsman here in Vic . I would be certain that if Stephen made that comment there would be some basis to it. There seems to be so many remedies for striking cuttings but I have fond rooting hormone powder to be more than adequate.

yea i know what ya saying, the vitamin B1 bath one i seen it done with bougs and they just boomed a couple weeks after being dug, bare rooted and left to dry for a day or so.

i have just been using rooting hormone gel lately with good effect. i do have a seasol/superthrive bath going at the moment for swampies, i think this will work well too.

Hi Craig , Asprin was derived from willow , it can also be used in minute quantities as a plant tonic/stimulant .

Aspirin is salicylic acid, from salix, willow. Willow bark tea has been used as a painkiller in native medicine.

I always thought that when I looked into aspirin it would be a load of cod but it seems that it is very interesting and another piece in the amazing puzzle of how plants grow.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
