mate that looks like it has a nice taper in it mate :D

what you want to do is choose a leader and give it a good old chop to increase the taper and that will be awesome, the airial roots are working realy well to help with that too, i would use them to fuse to the base as it will help heaps and create nice fluting :D

if you can mate maybe this one
IMG_0890.JPG
or just flat chop it and you will get a massive amount of new shoots and then angle cut it after it has been selected

didnt think bout that one, i would go with a smaller branch as it will be easier to wire up, it wont take long to thicken, and being lower it will give it better taper. :D

Good score Regan :D Lots to choose from ,every time when I purchase a tree I go thinking I will judge harshly and therefore narrow the selection process but then I usually narrow it down to 5 or 6  Do you have a plan for this one (long term short term?)Looking forward to the progression .
Cheers :D

Tony I did have a bit of an idea but I'm not sure now, have to draw up some ideas.

i pretty much chose this one for the base/trunk, all the low shoots and the fact it had a bit of taper already

I had three good potentials and about 10 maybes picked out of about 50, this one had the most developed base on it, there is another one there that i will get when i've got the cash

You don't go fishing with any of the teachers from north primary do you?

cheers Regan
