[For Sale] Bonsai Styling & Maintenance DVDs by Boon
After being daunted by the techniques involved with JBP care for around 5 years, I discovered Boon. Around 1 year ago I purchased his JBP care DVDs and I haven't had a problem since. I was so impressed with his work that I traveled over to Alameda and took one of his intensives, my Bonsai haven't looked back!
After chatting with a number of people in Australia about Boon, my tree's improvement, and his JBP DVDs, I discovered that many people were unable to purchase the DVDs as the postage from the States was a prohibitive factor. As I had benefited so much from Boon's teachings I wanted others too also.
So I contacted Boon and one of his mates, Michael, to see if I could get a bulk shipment of the DVDs to limit the postage expense. It worked out rather well.
I have to offer 5 different DVDs for sale:
Japanese Black Pine Repotting - $35 (incl. postage)
Japanese Black Pine Decandling - $35 (incl. postage)
Japanese Black Pine Wiring & Styling ( two disc set) - $52 (incl. postage)
Japanese Black Pine Fall Maintenance - $35 (incl. postage)
Deciduous tree (Japanese Maple) repotting - $35 (incl. postage)
Alternatively, I have the set of 4 JBP care DVDs for $140 (incl. postage) a discount of $17.00.
These DVDs are great for the beginner or advanced bonsai student alike, and your trees will love you for it.
Also, I would like to mention that I am making a small profit out of this but only to give a bit of return for the $1,500 outlay, (I am an investment analyst, so I had to make a little).
My main driver for this project is to stimulate interest in Boon's work and his excellent teaching technique, primarily so we can can get him to come out for a study group and work with him in person.
Unfortunately, I do only have a limited number of sets so let me know if you are interested ASAP or even if you want to know a little more info.
Thanks,
Scott Roxburgh.

Wow Wish I could head over for one of Boon's intensive courses. Could you tell us a litle more about this Scott.
I have all Boons DVD's and think they are great. I would recomend getting the full set as you will be back for them all eventually
Oh I did not know Boon had released the start of his deciduous series.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

For those that the payment has cleared, I have posted your DVDs today (PM sent), others will go out tomorrow subject to the funds being in my account.
Still a few left if anyone wants a set, Im happy to sell to club libraries too as these dvds are a very valuable resource for bonsai artists at all stages.
Cheers
Scott.

Re: Japanese Black Pine Bonsai Care DVDs
As you would have seen from the previous post, I picked up my DVDs this afternoon. I've watched 2 already and i must say they are very good. But i must go to bed now , the missus is annoyed. Some how I think she doe's not like bonsai as i do!
Any way, thank you very much Scott, nice to do business with you and thank you for the trouble you went to to get these DVDs out.
I would also like to invite you to one, or more if you like, of our meetings, as i told you earlier the last Sunday of the month. We are only 30min from your home, not far if you are in the area. Let me know any way, you are most welcome.
Every one, get your DVDs it is worth it, if you would like to know more on pines.
Regards Mick

Re: Japanese Black Pine Bonsai Care DVDs
I sent another two sets out today and a couple of deciduous repotting DVDs separate so I think only two sets left.
For those of you that are interested, the full Japanese Maple DVD comes out post Summer work on the trees, I will have it for sale then and possible a few more JBP sets depending on interest levels.
If any clubs are interested just get the appropriate person to contact me.
Thanks,
Scott.

Re: Japanese Black Pine Bonsai Care DVDs
Hi all,
To anyone thinking of getting into growing JBP, or people that already do, i highly recommend the 4 dvd set to you.
Watching Boon, repotting the 50yr old pine, how he root prunes these great trees and how he talks you thru the whole process,
then as Boon guides you thru the fall maintainance, of trees in training and refined trees, you can easily understand the processes and why,
A must have set of dvd's for any JBP growers, new or experienced,, Regards Craig
