But you caught it on the first bounce! That was a good recovery and not a branch out of place!

The portable table collapsed as we were moving it!

I have only ever uploaded a couple of movies to utube before and I was surprised how long they take.
Al least a few hours but not sure about a day. Oh my camcorder does have several settings and one is stated as best for uploading to youtube and such. Check for a quality setting on the camera you are using!
Looking goo0d Grant. Thanks for taking the time to document it :)

Dam that was a good catch at the end Leigh

Hi all,

I got some time last night to work on the tree and it is now as finished as I wish to take it at the moment; other than tidying up the Jinned area.
Finished for now 11th Aug 2010.JPG
Next autumn I hope to move it to a more suitable pot. I will be in melbourne in a few weeks time and will keep my eyes open for one.

Hey Grant,

The tree is looking fantastic, it is a credit to your vision and desire to make the best possible tree from the material you started with. Look forward to seeing it repotted into a crescent pot.

If you don't find one while your in Melbourne have a chat with Penny (Mudlarkpottery) she has a great range of crescent pots.

Thanks Grant,
I have enjoyed watching the progress of this tree, you should be delighted with the results. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy, looking foreward to the re-pot

The tree will not be ready for show for about 1 year so I will paint with Lime Sulphur straight out of the bottle for now. The portion below the current jinned area will be bared and included into the jin in about 6 - 12 months and possibly link up with the lowest old jin on the left as well.

Grant and Leigh Thank you for this most important lesson in the practise of Bonsai start with good stock have a vision in mind. Work slowly and deliberately.
Take on board other suggestions that can benefit the designers and the tree.

Keep a good eye out for when it falls and, wha la, you have caught yourself a very worthy tree.

Cheers ;) Pup
