Bretts,
As long as I can do something slightly different each time I won't get bored with crackpots. I do make a few "normal" bonsai pots I just like doing things out of the mainstream.
Ken,
I'm not too thrill with the 2nd one either, just wanted to see what black clay and white glaze would look like.

if that is the case i am quite willing to releive you of the stress of having to look at that pot, i reckon it is great! i might even have a tree that would suit it
jamie

This is the first time I have seen this thread. Seriously beautiful pots Kitoi. Do you feel like emigrating down under ?. Are you putting in plenty of little holes to tie the trees in thats the thing I like about good quality Japanese pots plenty of options.

Jamie,
About 1/3 to 1/2 the pots I make are for my collection the rest get sold. I've been averaging 2-3 commissions a month, mostly big stuff. The one I'm working now will be 53cm wide oval x 6cm deep. On Monday I'll pick up two trees, make pots for them and stage for this lady.
Craig,
I do put wire holes in the shallower pots, some times in deeper ones but not usually
