rain for vic

Australian conditions vary from one extreme to another. What do you do and when do you do it?

Got Back to Adelaide Monday night after a week in the mid North, temps there in the high 40's, it was so hot I saw a fox chasing a rabbit and they were both walking!

Today, temps in the high teens and a significant rain event, steady all day, not sure on measurements till I get home.

mate in a bit of trouble with another 70mm atm, no where to go as ground is soaked, just moved my cows to higher ground. I think wangaratta is in trouble as there was already water lapping around peoples homes on tuesdayand alot of the land is FLAT. Its still pissing down here This low is amazing , just sits there and dosent move, see nsw is in trouble too. A week ago i prayed for rain now, looks like i got my answer. Most grape and orchard growers are stuffed after a predition of the best crop in a decade.Have to go out and tilt some trees i think.

Hi Mathew , another 55mm here and yes things are wet alright . Wangaratta has always coped it . The run off from Mount Hotham takes 2 days to hit them , so they had best brace themselves .I'm getting a break from the watering in any case . If i get flooded out Melbourne will have 666 feet of water to cope with . It should ease up around Middday, but its going to stick around until Sunday . I was planning a road trip but its on the back burner for a couple of weeks due to the fact i don't have a boat ..

Cheers Alpine

I'm going to have to do the whole run around again... the water from nsw/queensland will hit us about same time as the water coming now...
