melia trees are not landscape trees here!, the bloody councils are planting them as street scape trees so you'd better let them know its a weed.

I don't know about Melia, they don't grow over here, but Golden rain tree is surely invasive: I have dozens, if not hundreds of seedlings from the tree in my garden. I've planted some in pots, just for the sake of trying, but it's true that the compound leaves are very big and that only a tall bonsai can be made from these.

I don't want to steal this thread about Chinaberry Tree (Melia azedarach), so next time I mention Golden Rain Tree, it will be in a thread of its own
