Hi Tony,
I like this one -- especially how the roots have made up the trunk. I like the arrangements of the branches too.
In a
Lord of the Ring movie, there is a tree that talks and walks, ruggedness of this trunk makes me think of the tree in the movie
One of the best native figs I have seen.
Best regards.

Thanks all for your comments.
I have long regarded Pugsly as the best tree I have that has never made it to 'Bonsai'. Always been just growing and developing trunk and branches. It is now time to bring Pugsly to the front.
Booga, you ever deface and defame one of my trees with a bottle of green death again I will take you to Pugsly barber alright.
All good and thanks for the interest. Will update when the growth comes.
Tony

I love Pugsly and his name. It's a fabulous looking fig. Your next tree could be called "Wednesday".

I kinda liked Pugsly with its aerial roots ! It was a good feature...
He just needed some branch refinement. Cute name, and great little tree though. Enjoy.

Split down the middle Valvet, Dont mind Johnny Red either... I used to work at Ramset Fasteners in Ringwood many years ago.
I was on permanent afternoon shift with only one supervisor in charge and he was a top bloke

I used to take a bottle of Red and 1.25 ltr coke
and kick back ay my machine with my walkmen and and booze. Not really something to be proud of and I hope you didn't build you house in the 90s

I could name my Literati Morticia (Is that how you spell it). She is tall and graceful. Don't have anything Emo

The good part here is they will always come back. I go through stages where I will keep them for a while, and then cut them off as they start to get bigger.

Will keep you all posted as the growth comes back.

Even though the weather is cooling, Pugsly is coming back well. The shoots take a little while to burst, but then they really get a wriggle on.The original photos are from 24th March.

Just want to keep the growth tight for now by maintaining tip pruning. More work will be done when spring comes around.

Strong base, but now i cant help but feel like the bottom left branch is ruining the taper of the trunk..
Either way its a beautiful fig.

Well the last photo was on the 7th May, and most trees start to go dormant in the winter, but that depends on how much of a winter you get. Whilst we are having a cold wet winter for Brisbane this year, the growth is till powering along on some trees. I still don't like to prune them much so it doesn't weaken the tree, and lets it grow nice and strong into spring.
These were taken on the 4th July
