Gday Jon!
I am sorry to hear that you will be moving on. In the very short time AusBonsai has been on the air, your contributions towards the betterment of the site (and Australian Bonsai generally) remain virtually unparalleled. Your "time out" will be our loss.
I sincerely hope that your "change in circumstances" is nothing serious, and that you and Mrs Chown have simply decided upon a seachange.
Please drop in anytime, or send us an e-postcard: wherever you are on your travels, we will only be a mouse-click away.
Thanks and good luck!
Fly.

Does this mean that you'd prefer to only move trees locally, but might consider posting other (non-living) items further afield? Thanks again.

Wow!!! Let me begin by saying a big thank you to all of the concerned bonsai friends who have sent me pm's of concern. My wife had her third heart operation last year and I had a bit of a scare myself combine this with the downturn in the Property Industry and it wasn't difficult for us to decide to take time out and do some of the things that we have always wanted to do. We travel north next week to inspect a 25 foot Fifty wheel rig for the trip.
I should also apologise for the lack of information contained in the ad upon reflection it was somewhat ambiguous.
I have built up so much bonsai related stuff, I just don't know exactly where to start.

Thanks Fly for your comments and yes this about sums up what I would like to do.

Jon, you and your wife are most welcome to call in and stay for a while when you get this far south.

The riverland is a nice place to call through. Come in October, I'll take you down to the rose gardens.

Hi Jon,
When I signed on, I received a welcome message from you first.
FlyBri has stated it so well. I do not think I can add anything
further.
I do hope that after finished travelling, you would start another
collection. Perhaps some thing more advanced?
I admire your enthusiasm on the subject. And I hope you would
find it again. And see you on Ausbonsai again too Jon
Enjoy your travellings and best wishes...
Best regards Jon.

Sold 7 trees today and have people arriving tomorrow to have a look everything is looking good. Have decided to place all books on Ebay and have people asking about stands what ever doesn't sell in the short term I'll take to the markets.
Again, thanks to everyone for the kind words and Viet, I'm weakening and have decided to take 4 of my little ones with me for the drive just so that I don't get withdrawal pains.

G/Day! Jon,
I'm sorry to hear you are selling your collection.
Can you give us a list of trees available? I assume you will sell trees individually? or is there a Brisbane Bonsai Nursery out there that may make an offer you can't refuse?
Good luck on your touring.
Regards
Tmaster
