Here is a pic of when the tree was first collected October 2008. I would have thought a bit late as the buds had already burst but 5 out of 6 survived. Max Ley One of this countries pioneers of bonsai and a specialist in EE Brooms, Told me recently that he collected alot of his in mid summer when they are semi dorment. Come the next spring they would burst into life.

Raft Elm from root cutting. The Elms have usually got deep thick roots so as i was cutting one off too get into a pot,i was able to get some trunk and roots and decided to pot them up to. Few years later this is what i got. Now needs a little carving!

I love the semi cascade Ant. it has real potential

I dont think i would be rushing it into a pot. They slow down drastically when the root system is restricted. I am looking forward to this progression.

Riverside 2 unearthed and bare rooted today,

Dissapointment in the garden 2day. Not one root graft took. It was like the holes just spat them out and closed. So i chopped the roots to smitherines

filled a bucket and hope for a pop or 2 next year. meanwhile i wait to see the rest in this next week. Here a few pics of the roots after and the new carve. 2moro i will post a pic of the repot and restlyle.
