Pup, no matter what it turns out to be, it won't be a new species. It MAY be able to become a new cultivar though, if somebody wishes to go ahead with the laborious progress. Will let you know what the botanists say.

Joel any words of wisdom from the higher authorities mate ?

I took mister Pup to have a gander today and i think he was a little excited ;) . It is growing well and we spotted some other branches with the new foliage aswell.
