Well, keeping this new bonsai cat in that restricted container will certainly restrict its growth

How often do you need to repot :?

600x600 concrete pavers 2'' thick, hand moved.....in the drizzle....

May need a new spirit level :lost: :lost: :lost:

But in moving everything i found this which im pretty happy about. This fig has been left to go gang buster, which it has the roots and trunks have thickened up nicely, so Im looking forward to repotting at a later date and removing excess and leaving it as a twin trunk banyan style:

Gday Mick,

The rain was coming in sideways today, wind has ice cold knives in it, just not the weather i wanna be exposed to lol.

I will update the fig when i give it another chop and repot, the dynamic lifter diet has done wonders to it.

thanks mate.

Thanks Wyatt.

Yep its a collected Moreton Bay fig - ficus marcophylla.

It was growing out of a gutter, then it was ripped and left to die for months. I planted it into coco peat and it shot new buds straight away, testament to how hardy and resilient these guys really are.

Had to mow the lawn today so i thought id mock up the bench to get junk up off the ground.

Still need to add 1 more set of legs in the front for support, bamboo background, and shade cloth all round.

Nice one Vs,

I wish I was disciplined enough to keep such a manageble collection. My back yard looks like a closed down nursery.

Hi Squizz.

Trust me im far from Disciplined mate lol technically this should have been finished months ago, and our yard had the same look too believe me.

Between this and my 6'x3' grow patch Ill have to learn to either limit myself with what i have already or give away less than favourable trees, and as i learn and grow as a bonsai artist [in the making] I learn that there are some trees worth saving and some worth dumping on other people as gifts lol
