Hi Denaz!

Thanks for posting :).

Thats a good guess but the flowers r more like a euryops pectinatus - whatever that is.

Hack, the above link will show u a flower similar to the ones on my little shrub. Except mine r smaller and less petals I believe.

Good call, didn't even think of them, and I have some seeds growing at home lol

I'm stumped, I think we need a pic of the flower to get any further

Sorry mate, just saw this! I've not been able to bring up any info via google on a Cytisus spp... would you mind clarifying?

Also - anyone ever used this species for Bonsai?

I too thought Genista and Cytisus spp but the leaf was all wrong which was why I asked earlier if it had a pea (legume) shaped flower. Glad you got to the bottom of it. :tu: Don't know why you can't find Cytisus. .https://www.google.com.au/search?q=Cyti ... mgWD_4CgDw

Dont laugh... I thought i was meant to search both at once... Thinking that Cytisus is a third denomination of the Genista species haha.. Genista it is though and my apologies for the misinformation mate, i remembered them as having petals for some odd reason.. it takes knowledge to answer a q, but effort to research one. Really appreciate it hack :).

Hi Moganic Genista and Cytisus are very closely related. If you google ' Broom (shrub) wiki has good info on it.
