Updated Pics this morning wshowing the Oh bugger moment and the new growth that will fix it :-) :fc:

the wood on these is extremely brittle and impossible to bend, so if you need a branch somewhere, do it when it very young and has not lignified. Even then they are still prone to break.

At least now I will have some better taper in the upper section of the tree and when it grows and fills out in width it shodu look good :-)

I'm learning the brittleness of these branches very fast! Was rearranging some foliage this morning and checking for bugs and such (i have a small bonsai collection so rely on the organic squish method for control) and moved a brach in a direction it didn't want to go and snap! Oops luckily it was small and i probably would have removed it. Ive got a cutting to try now, i hear they're near impossible to strike. Ohh the challenge!
