Hi James,

Nice work with this tree. I would only say that you should be aware of how much bare branch there is on your lower branches. I would have thought you might need your foliage a bit closer to the trunk. I only say this because I have made the same mistake myself of taking the floiage away from the inside of the branches. Just think of it this way. You can always grow foliage further out at a later date but it may be very difficult to get back budding. I think the best advice I ever got as a young bonsai enthusiest was to leave parts on that you are unsure of as they can always be cut later. Much more difficult to sticky tape them back on.

Also have you got another tree that can be trained like the one you saw in your dream. Dont dismiss the dream tree idea. I think it sounded very interesting and authentic.

By the way very neat wiring I agree.
