Lovely tree David. Trees like yours certainly inspire me to have a go at those trees which are not used very often in bonsai circles. Mores the pity really.

Just wondering if there was an update of this tree, it is a nice Radiata specimen, where I grew up in Southeast South Aust there are plantations of these trees, I would have never guessed that they make decent Bonsai!

Dave absolutly awesome tree..... WOW !!!...I was recently given a very old radiata pine from a friend of mine who just lost intrest in bonsai. The tree itself is very shabby with the only foleige left is in little balls at the end of the branches.. On first look the tree looks pot bound, but living in Canberra i thought I would leave it through winter and re pot late August / September and hope to get some back budding and then I can start restyling once back budding occurs.. Can you give me any advise on how best to care for this tree and the best way to achieve back budding. re pot etc .As im just a novice on the bonsai scene and any advice would be greatly appreciated, and this tree would be a great project for the next few years.
