Just removed some wire and the branches seemed to stay put! Update pic too, not much has happened... I'm wondering why this tree hasn't grown as much as any of the others I have? Perhaps a slow growing species?

almost 2 years now. beware not to repot and hard prune at the same time.
epsom salt and nitrosol gives a blue green foliage in summer.

Funnily enough, my first mistake was repotting and hard pruning at the same time... then wiring ten minutes later...

Still! I managed to keep it alive and the tree seems to be doing all right now :)

Ok so tapatalk wants me to pay to upload the third pic and the ausbonsai hosted one doesnt seem to work...

Either way its going to be a long, long road for this currently ugly tree.

We've all done some dodgy wiring jobs in our lives. I just try to keep the next one better than the last! :palm:

I've never worked with a Hinoki before, but I did see this the other day, so I thought I would share.

And last but not least, that's a nice little tree. Young, but not ugly.

Wired! Took 3 hours but most of that was sitting and staring at the bottom right of the tree thinking bloody hell! So ill have to sort that out at some point..
